Oxfam’s livelihoods programmes help people earn a steady, sustainable income so that they can pay for their children’s school fees, improve their homes, and save for emergencies. Many people we work with rely on beekeeping to make this income and our programmes support their efforts by helping them gain leadership positions, be involved in community decision-making, and get climate funding from their governments. All of our work aims to change unfair underlying systems so that everyone has the education, resources, and opportunities they need not just to survive, but thrive.
