Oxfam’s disaster relief fund enables us to respond quickly to disasters like tropical cyclones and help refugees in crisis. Often the first thing Oxfam does is distribute hygiene kits, reusable buckets that contain soap, reusable sanitary pads, water purification tablets, and other hygiene items. *Asia (pictured here) escaped from a civil war in her hometown of Khartoum, Sudan, with her family. She is living in a refugee camp in neighbouring South Sudan, hoping for the day when they can return home. Oxfam is supplying clean water and hygiene items to help them get by.

All of Oxfam’s work aims to change unfair underlying systems, so that everyone has the education and resources they need not just to survive, but thrive.
