Wash you a Merry Christmas

Oxfam’s disaster relief fund enables us to respond quickly to disasters like tropical cyclones or earthquakes and help refugees in crisis. Often the first thing Oxfam does is distribute hygiene kits, reusable buckets that contain soap, reusable sanitary pads, water purification tablets, face masks and other hygiene items. Maria (pictured here) has turned her hygiene kit bucket into a handwashing station so everyone in her home can stay clean and prevent the spread of disease. All of our work aims to change unfair underlying systems, so that everyone has the education, resources, and opportunities they need not just to survive, but thrive.
